Hello, I’m Cary ✿ a researcher and manager with a background in Visual Art and academia based in NYC.

With a strong foundation in visual arts, I bring a sharp eye for composition, design, and color—skills that have consistently informed my approach to project management. Over the years, I’ve successfully led studios and managed complex projects in New York City’s dynamic art world, where precision, creativity, and adaptability are essential.

My background includes teaching positions at Columbia University and Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Through teaching, I developed a deep appreciation for active listening, empathy, and supporting individual growth—qualities that continue to guide my leadership style. These experiences also inspired my transition into UX, where I’ve applied my strengths in problem-solving, critique, and ideation to deliver thoughtful, user-centered solutions at scale.

Holding both a BFA and MFA, I’ve collaborated with leading contemporary artists to bring ambitious creative visions to life, managing timelines, materials, and teams with care and efficiency. My commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and design justice is central to my work. I’m especially inspired by the UX maxim, “Solve for one, extend to many,” and strive to embed that principle into every project I lead.
